Simple & Versatile Korean Soy Seasoning (Mix with Salads and Rice)

Mix All Ingredients:

  • 1 Bunch – Scallion
  • 2 Cups – Soy Sauce (until the scallion is mostly submerged)
  • 1 Teaspoon – Garlic Powder or Minced Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon – Onion Powder or Diced Onion
  • 2 Tablespoon – Korean Green Plum Extract (매실청) – or 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons – Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons – Sugar
  • 1-2 Tablespoons – Sesame Seeds
  • 2-3 Tablespoons – Lakehouse Farms 100% Organic Korean Chili Pepper Flakes (Gochugaru)

** Try this seasoning with blanched Korean bean sprouts and spinach and with Korean fried pancakes

Various Uses:

    1. Serve with rice and unseasoned nori (dry seaweed) and enjoy
    2. Serve with rice, mixed with fried eggs and soy seasoning (add more sesame oil as needed)
    3. Mix the seasoning with lettuce (상추겉절이) and serve with rice
    4. Mix this seasoning with blanched Korean bean sprouts and spinach and serve with rice
    5. Serve with Korean fried pancakes
